Dance leadership Qualification

The Dance Leadership Qualification Level 1 and 2 are intensive part-time courses to fit around your part-time work, part-time study or job search.  Both courses will be delivered in a central London location.

Level 1 – 4 days 10.00am – 6.00pm (x2 days per week)
Level 2 – 6 days 10.00am – 6.00pm* (x2 days per week)
(*with an additional 2 hours of external teaching practice organised by CRW). 

We will be repeating the Dance Leadership courses in early Summer 2025.

We encourage learners to complete both levels for an enriching experience, but this isn’t compulsory.

  • The Level 1 course will offer music and rhythm lessons from a musician guest teacher to build your confidence and skills working with live and recorded accompaniment.
  • The Level 2 course will offer a short external teaching placement and the opportunity to organise and be part of a fundraiser for the local community.

Each course will offer learners the opportunity to enhance their dance technique in a variety of dance genres.

Develop skills in delivering lessons and workshops in a range of settings (professional/community)

Understand the importance of safe practice, dancers’ health and business planning to support their future roles as dance educators.

Creative Rework happened in my life as I just graduated from university, in a very scary and uncertain period.

What was helpful about the courses that I attended is that they allowed me to understand that I already possess everything that matters to success, and now I feel much more empowered and secure about myself than not so long ago.

I also really appreciate the time the team has taken to check on me and when they could also highlight some new opportunities that I could apply for.
At the moment, I am still in the process of applying and looking for new roles, and the support of Creative Rework is a reassurance that I can and will make it.

I personally found in Level 1 the importance of getting out of your comfort zone benefits your networking skills and self-esteem as a practitioner .. And it encouraged me to continue to Level 2 and deepen in my ability to lead a lesson and my artistic practice.

The Level 1 Dance Leadership course gave me immense confidence in my ability to deliver a class and my ability to learn the skills to do so effectively and building on skills that are already there, as well as expanding upon them. Creative rework provided a safe space, in which valuable connections could be made and the quality of the course was undeniable. A very valuable programme, thank you so much to everyone involved in having made it happen!

HOW TO APPLY?

To express your interest please complete the basic eligibility form and book a virtual 1-2-1 with one of our course leaders before the course starts.  If you have any further queries before booking, please contact us via the contact page.

Please note, you are not eligible for this course if you are in full time education.

In your 1-2-1 we will talk you through your course induction, confirm your eligibility and share the full schedule for the course.

**Deposit – This action will be discussed in your virtual 1-2-1.

**In some cases we may need to take a small deposit to cover the initial cost of registering you for your qualification. This is fully refundable on completion of the course and our advisor will speak with you about this during your 1:2:1.
