Jenny Hayes
Jenny Hayes is a dance artist, for her this includes steering various arts projects spanning London and the UK, performing, teaching and rehearsal directing. Jenny celebrated a 7-year tenure with Richard Alston Dance when the company closed in March 2020 and since then, Jenny delivered contemporary and ballet technique classes for professionals, students and young people at world class dance institutions such as London Contemporary Dance School, Northern Contemporary Dance School, The Royal Academy of Dance and many more.
Alongside teaching, Jenny was eager to explore more pathways in the arts and through the established mentorship programme, ‘Beyond Dance’ at Dancer’s Career Development, Jenny started to branch out and initiate various independent dancer-based projects that felt important and necessary during that time.
Jenny’s creative portfolio is now fuelled by guest teaching professional and company class at leading dance organisations and companies such as Rambert and New Adventures and rooted in connecting with independent artists by leading and curating an eclectic mix of programmes with dance artists at the core. Including, Step Change – An evening of dance and conversation with choreographers and dancers, Creative Re Work – in collaboration with The London Mayor’s Creative Academy, heading, designing and delivering bespoke programmes for creative artists to help evolve, nourish and sustain their career in the arts. Jenny is also producing a festival for independent dancers exploring industry funding, creative processes and career sustainability in the arts that is due to launch in 2023.
