Liam Francis

Liam Francis is a dance artist/maker from Brighton, who’s career began at Zoonation Dance Company (Into The Hoods, Groove On Down The Road and Zoonation: Unplugged). As a leading dancer with Rambert (2014-2021), Liam performed works by Kim Brandstrup, Mark Baldwin, Christopher Bruce, Sidi Larbi Cherkoui, Merce Cunningham, Ben Duke, Margorzata Dzierzon, Sharon Eyal, Wayne McGregor, Marion Motin, Patricia Okenwa, Hofesh Shechter, Wim Vanderkeybus, Didy Veldman and Alexander Whitley. In 2021, Liam was included in Dance Europe’s Dancer of the Year and nominated in Tanz magazine’s Best Male Dancer. 2022, saw Liam create works for third year students at The Place, Rambert School and London Studio Centre (INTOTO), as well as for Shechter2. Liam also created Dual Till The Death, in collaboration with Jacob Wye and Clark Avery Griffin, which won multiple awards at Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition and Hannover Choreography Competition. To date Liam’s choreography has been performed in London, New York, Oxford, Rome and Rotterdam. During 2022 Liam was an original cast member of LostDog’s critically acclaimed Ruination at The Linbury Theatre at The Royal Opera House.
