Turing in Action

The Turing Scheme is the UK’s global program to study and work abroad. Named after the mathematician Alan Turing, it aims to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world.

See below for examples of Turing in Action.

Opera Ballet Vlaanderen – Belgium

Performance arts theatre, presenting opera, dance and concerts for all ages in Ghent and Antwerp

A day in the life of one of our amazing creatives as Sam get stuck into their Turing mobility in Belgium on her dance placement with @operatbelletvlaanderen.

Sam jointed OBV for 3 months as part of Rinova and Creative Re-works new Turing programme. Whilst at OBV Sami is learning Trisha Browns repertoire Twelve Ton Rose and has been seen fitting in time to work on her dissertation as well as a bit of sightseeing in Antwerp!

Thank you so much to everyone at OBV for creating a nurturing and fruitful developmental opportunity!

Skanes Dansteater – Sweden

Swedens only independent dance institution based in Malmo. A contemporary dance repertoire ensemble presenting works by both Swedish and international choreographers. Funded by the municipality of Skane, this means that Skanes consider themselves to be owned by the residents of Skane and are committed to the idea that the company belongs to everyone.

Petro has jointed the company for 3 months to undertake learning and development activities and participate in performances of ‘Indigo Flamingo’ choreographed by Gwyn Emberton.

Thank you all at SDT for your generosity and for sharing your creative wisdom.
